GeoTools 10.03 released:
------------------------

New command added:
-----------------

1. GT_ATT2XD : (Conversion Tools - Attributes to Xdata): The GT_ATT2XD command converts block attributes to extended entity data directly in one single process. This eliminates the need to perform two conversion operations using GT_ATT2OD and GT_OD2XD as many of you have been doing in the past. Additionally, you now do not need AutoCAD Map as the object data layer has been eliminated with this direct conversion.

This command was created after listening to users who had problems importing data from Trimble GPS (DXF) and representing them in AutoCAD the way they wanted it. Trimble GPS creates SHP or DXF which when imported in AutoCAD or Bricscad creates point/line blocks with attributes. If you explode it, the attributes are lost but if you don't, you end up with a huge number of blocks which are not points or lines. The solution was to convert attributes to xdata using GT_ATT2XD and then explode these blocks but retain xdata (using GT_XP_RETDAT command).
