GeoTools V 9.14 Update:

Bug fix:

GT_FLIP (Polyline Tool Set 1 - Flip (reverse) polylines): A bug has been fixed in the 'Low To High Z' and 'High to Low Z' options of this command. Clicking on the 'Low To High Z' option now flips the polyline direction if the first vertex elevation is higher than the last vertex elevation. In other words, the 'Low To High Z' option ensures creation of a polyline in which the first vertex is lower than the last vertex.

The earlier behavior was such that the command was doing the opposite and this was not in sync with the other options of the command like 'Clock-wise' and Counter-Clock-wise'.

GT_DENSIFY ( Polyline Tool Set 1 - Densify vertices ): There was a bug in this command and it was not densifying the closing (last) segment of a polyline. This has now been fixed.

GT_MODTXT ( Text Tools - Globally modify TEXT/MTEXT) : There was a bug in this command which affected the 'Justification' option. This has now been fixed.

There was another bug in the option 'Trim before marker character'. This has been fixed as well.

New commands added:

GT_NETNODES (Build Tools - Place points at user defined spacing along linear network):

The GT_NETNODES command is used to place nodes (points) along a linear network of connected lines and/or polylines. This command performs a simple trace through the entire network and places points in such a way that that no two points are closer to each other than the specified distance which is measure along the network (and is NOT the straight line distance) between the two points. Please be aware that the command expects that the network is topologically correct, cleaned and that the end points of the lines are EXACTLY touching each other.

GT_POINTWEED (Drawing Cleanup Tools - Weed points based on spacing):

The GT_POINTWEED commnd removes AutoCAD points (or blocks) which are closer to each other by a user-specified distance.

The GT_CALCAREA command (Inquiry Tools - Compute summed areas of closed polylines) has been enhanced. Depending on how you would like to display the area, you can now specify a unit for linear measurements as well as the displayed area units. By doing this, you can display the area units in several different units.

The following list of units can now be assigned as your DWG linear unit of measurement: cm, in, ft, m, yards.

The following list of units can be assigned for the display of your computed area:,, sq.ft, sq.m, acres, hectares
