** New commands added:

1. GT_VISIT (Inquiry command - Object selection browser): A brand new command called GT_VISIT has been added under the Inquiry Tools. The GT_VISIT command allows browsing through a selection set entity-by-entity. This can be a useful tool in quality control and error checking situations when you wish to step through a selection of objects and examine them one by one. The command offers sub-options like Next, Previous and GoTo to navigate through the selection set sequentially or randomly. There are also options to set the current zoom factors and highlight color. The GT_VISIT command maintains an nternal pointer to the current object being visited (or borwsed through), so it is possible to resume the browsing at any point even after the main command has been exited. To achieve this purpose, two more related commands, GT_NEXT and GT_PREV are provivded to enable an forward and reverse browse through the selection from the current object position.

2. GT_ANNOTPOINTS ( Annotation Tools - Annotate points based on layer names) : The GT_ANNOTPOINTS command is used to annotate a set of points based on a layer lookup table. This command is often useful in several surveying applications where the raw data is first imported into AutoCAD as a set of random point objects placed on several different layers. It is then often required to label these points with meaningful and descriptive text labels with correct text style and height. This command helps to create such a labeled text.

3. GT_INTERSECT (Polyline Tool Set 3 & Drawing Cleanup Tools): The GT_INTERSECT command can be used to mark points of intersection between polylines, lines, arcs and/or splines in any selection of objects. Please be aware that this command does not mark self-intersctions between the segments of a single polyline or spline objects. Instead, it marks points where each entity intersects with other objects in the selection.

4. GT_DANGLECHECK (Polyline Tool Set 3 & Drawing Cleanup Tools): The GT_DANGLECHECK command is useful to detect free standing ends of polylines, lines, arcs and splines, also known as dangling ends. A user-defined search window tolerance is applied around the ends and if there is no other object in the vicinity, the end is treated as a free standing end or a dangle. All such end points are marked with POINT objects in the GeoTools temporary layer "GEOTOOLS_TEMP" so that they can be easily checked.

** Enhanced commands:

GT_SEGLABEL command (Annotation menu -> Label polyline segments): Two new segment annotation options have been added to this command.

You can now label the segments by sequential running numbers, as well as by means of an arrow depicting the direction of slope (Upwards or Downwards) computed between the two vertices of the segment in question. Do not confuse this with the 'Slope' annotation option called 'Direction'. The Slope option called 'Direction' is a text based annotation which prints "Up", "Down" or "Horiz" depending on the segment orientation. The new option that we have added now is labelled "Arrows in Elevation Direction [Up->Down]" and "Arrows in Elevation Direction [Down->Up]", and uses arrow marks pointing in the specified direction, to indicate the segment direction as against using a text label.

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested quite extensively before they are released, it is humanly impossible to test-run it under every different data type or operating environment. In the event that you notice any GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring it to our notice as soon as possible. We will attend to it and fix the problem as soon as possible.
