GeoTools V 8.04 Update:

Pick up this latest update from

New transparent function added: (geo)

(geo) is not a GeoTools command that can be run off the AutoCAD command line. Instead, it is a transparent function which can be called at any point when AutoCAD is expecting a point input. The (geo) function helps to input coordinates in geographic coordinates (Latitudes and Longitudes) in degree-minute-second format (for example, 33° 01' 53.8739",18° 01' 11.2246",480.0 is a Latitude of 33° 01' 53.8739" and a Longitude of 18° 01' 11.2246" and a height of 480.0. The (geo) function can be called ONLY when an AutoCAD command (and not a GeoTools command) is expecting for a point entry.

To facilitate the entry of geographic coordinates for the purpose of drawing a polyline, the functionality of this command is made available in the GT_AUTOPAN command also (See under 'Polyline ToolSet 3 - Draw 2d/3d polylines with auto-edge panning'). The GT_AutoPan command is enhanced because of this addition. Look under the 'Settings' option in this command to set the entry of coordinates as geographic or non-geographic. The geographic command entry functio is still in beta and comments/feedback are welcome to improve it.

Enhanced command:

GT_OD_EXTRACT command: (AutoCAD Map Tools - Extract object data to ASCII file): The GT_OD_EXTACT command has been considerably enhanced. You now have an option to write the field names in the output as the first line record (header record). Also, each object table is now written in order as against th earlier method of writing all selected object tables pne after the other for each object.

GT_BLKEDIT command: (Block tooks - Edit blocks graphics and attribute properties independently): The GT_BLKEDIT command has been enhanced. An additional block selection option has been provided. It is now possible to select the block to edit by picking it directly from the drawing rather than by selecting from the drop-down list. This makes it easier to select the blocks to edit by way of oa visual pick selection.

Bug fix/enhancement :

GT_LAYERMAN command: (Miscellaneous Tools - Layer Names Manager): The 'Search and Replace' of layer names has been bug-fixed and enhanced. The operation will now correctly report the layers which were renamed because of a 'Search-Replace' and also report on the layers that could not be renamed.

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested quite extensively before they are released, it is humanly impossible to test-run it under every different data type or operating environment. In the event that you notice any GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring it to our notice as soon as possible. We will attend to it and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, we welcome feedback at all times.
