IMPORTANT NOTE:
-----------------------------
This is the last update of GeoTools V7. We will be releasing the next numbered version, GeoTools V8 during the first week of April 2007. GeoTools V8 will be officially and fully compatible with AutoCAD 2008 as well which is expected to ship out of Autodesk around the same time. This would make GeoTools compatible with the latest version of AutoCAD 2008 all the way down until 2000.

Enhanced commands:
--------------------------------

GT_PLINE2ARC command (Polyline ToolSet 3 & Conversion Tools - Convert linear polylines to arcs): The GT_PLINE2ARC command has been enhanced with a new option which allows each segment of the polyline to be represented by an arc segment as opposed to the earlier options which allow arcs to be created based on the polyline vertex points.

To give you some useful applications of this command, the GT_PLINE2ARC command is useful to prepare data for many CNC applications where you need to provide the input as arc instead of polyline geometry.

GT_PL_STAT command (Polyline ToolSet 2 - Compute detailed polyline statistics): Additional polyline statisctics like maximum, minimum and average segment length have been added to the list of statistics generated from a polyline.

GT_P2BLKSHP ( Conversion Tools - Convert Points/Text/Circles to Blocks/Shapes ) and GT_BLKSHP2P (Convert Blocks/Shapes/Text/Circle to Points) have been enhanced. Both commands will now transfer any existing extented entity data as well as object table data while doing the conversion.

There was a bug in the GT_P2BLKSHP command which prevented it from running correctly in batch / script mode. This has been fixed.

GT_IDXYZ command (Annotation Tool - Label Points): A new annotation option has been added to this command. It is called "Coordinate Annotation". This option creates two text objects showing the X coordinate (Eastings) and Y coordinate (Northings) at right angles to each other with a user-specified gap between the picked point and the start of the annotation text. The two text objects can be prefixed with E=,N= or X=,Y= or M=,P=.

The last prefix option M=,P= is a new option added in this update and is Portuguese notation for Easting and Northing. Foreign language users who want custom but language standard prefixes for Eastings and Northings can send me their requests and I will add those in the next update of the program.

GT_VXLABEL command (Annotation & Polyline Tools - Label Polyline vertices): A new option has been addded in this command to do conditional annotation of vertices based on their elevation values. If this option is enabled, vertex annotation is done only when the values are within a specified range.

Additionally, the M=,P= option has been extended and added to the GT_VXLABEL command as well (like in the GT_IDXYZ command)

GT_SEGLABEL command (Annotation & Polyline Tools - Label Polyline segments): A new option has been addded in this command to do conditional segment annotation based on the segment lengths. If this option is enabled, segment annotation is done only when the values are within a specified range.

There was a bug in the program. The commands GT_CCL (Change to current layer) and GT_CPCL (Copy to current layer) were not working. This has been fixed. You can now use the GT_CCL command and GT_CPCL command from command line as well as from the menus / toolbars.

New command added: GT_COPYLYR (Make a copy one one layer into another): This command is provided under the Layer Tools and copies the entire contents of one layer into another layer.

Important Note: GeoTools V7 orders placed now will be upgraded to GeoTools V8 in April 2007 at no extra cost. In other words, if you order GeoTools V7 now, you will receive a free upgrade to GeoTools V8.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested quite extensively before they are released, it is humanly impossible to test-run it under every different data type or operating environment. In the event that you notice any GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring it to our notice as soon as you can. We will attend to it and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, we welcome feedback at all times.
