GeoTools V 7.08 update:

This update of GeoTools has some important bug fixes and improvements in place:

1. The GT_PARTMOVE command (Polyline ToolSet 2 - Move part of a polyline) has been renamed as GT_PARTCOPY to better reflect its purpose and operation. The command copies part of an existing polyline between two picked points and optionally moves them).

2. The standard behavior of the family of commands which operate on a part of polyline, namely GT_PARTCOPY, GT_PARTSTRETCH, GT_PARTMIRROR, GT_PATEXTRACT, GT_PARTOFFSET and GT_PARTROTATE have been changed slightly. All these commands will now snap to the nearest end points of the picked segment and perform the part edit operation from the exact end points of the segments rather than from the nearest picked points as was happening earlier. It has been done this way to make the final result more accurate and predictable. This has also been requested by a number of our existing users.

3. GT_PL_STAT (Polyline Tool Set 2 - Compute detailed statistics) : This command now also displays an additional statistic - whether the polyline is clock-wise or counter-clock-wise in direction.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested quite extensively before they are released, it is humanly impossible to test-run it under every different data type or operating environment. In the event that you notice any GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring it to our notice asap. We will attend to it and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, we welcome feedback at all times.
