Re-organization of the GeoTools user interface:

We are constantly trying to improve the user-interface of GeoTools in order to make it easy for you to locate the commands, their options and sub-options within the different user-interface components like pull-down menu, toolbars, command line, script modes etc.

In this update, we have taken the first step towards this re-organization by splitting the huge number of items in the Polyline Tools under three distinct menu categories - 'Tool Set 1', 'Tool Set 2' and 'Tool Set 3'. This follows the exact sequence of the tools in the three 'Polyline Tools' icon toolbars.
The order of tools in the pull-down menu, toolbars and the GeoTools documentation also has been synchronized and set in correct order. We hope this would make your experience of relating the different user interfaces and the documentation easier.

We invite your feedback on this and suggestions for further improving the user-interface in any manner possible.

New command added:

GT_DRAPEPOLY command (Polyline Tool Set 1 - Drape 3d polylines over an set of intersecting objects)

The GT_DRAPEPOLY command can be used to drape a set of 3d polylines (source objects) over a set of intersecting linear objects (target objects). Upon draping, this command creates vertices all along the source objects (3d polylines) where they intersect the target linear objects.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested quite extensively before they are released, it is humanely impossible to test-run it under every different data type or operating environment. In the event that you notice any GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring it to our notice asap. We will attend to it and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, we welcome feedback at all times.
