GeoTools V 6.16 update:
Pick up this latest update from
http://www.4d-technologies.com/geotools/download/geotools.exe
New command added: GT_TAGREN ( Blocks Tools - Block
Attribute Tag Rename ) : The GT_TAGREN command is used to
rename block attribute tags. While replacing the tag name
in the block definition with a new name, the command also
ensures that any repositioned attributes (moved away from
their default locations) will be retained at their
existing locations. This command also enables you to
rename the attribute prompts as well as their default
values.
Enhanced commands:
GT_REPBLK command (Blocks Tools - Replace Blocks) : The
GT_REPBLK command has been enhanced and its operational
behavior slightly changed.
This command now has an additional option to re-position
the target block attributes in exactly the same location
as the source block attributes. We realized that the user
may manually edit and move the attributes to a different
location once the block is already placed. Running the
GT_REPBLK command on such blocks would have reset the
positions of the target block attributes to the default
positions. It is now possible via an optional parameter
whether the target block attribute positions are taken
from the source block or use the default positions from
the block definition. This overcomes a limitation in the
Express Tools ATTSYNC command as well which does not allow
the new attribute positions to be used from the source
blocks.
There is also a slight change in the way the attributes
are updated. The earlier versions would not update
attributes if the number of attributes in source and
target blocks were not the same. Instead, it would just
check for the number of attributes to be same and copy the
attributes on a one-to-one basis. This is now changed.
Now, the update will happen only if the attribute tag name
is the same between source and target block. So,
effectively, the older option to ignore attributes has
been removed and the transfer of similarly named
attributes between source and target is now automatic. We
have made it this because this is a more logical way of
how the transfer should happen.
GT_BLKEDIT command (Blocks Tools - Globally modify block
graphics and attributes independently) - Some changes to
the user
interface has been done to make the operation more smooth
and logical. Some bugs in the 'Move(Slide) along X
direction'
and 'Move(Slide) along Y direction' option have been fixed
when applied to text objects of different justification
types.
General change:
All GeoTools commands now save and retrieve the values of
the PICKBOX and APERTURE system variables. This will
prevent any chance of a GeoTools command leaving a
temporarily set (and undesirable) value for these two
system variables.
Bug fix: The GT_LAYERAREA command has had some bug fixes.
The command now correctly displays the layer-wise total
lengths and areas of all selected polylines. The ability
of create a Table of the layer areas, lengths anc Color
also has been implemented.
If you know of more ways to make this command better, let
us know and we will be glad to enhance it.
GT_IMPEX command (Export menu: Import/Export points and
lines): An additional format, DNEZ has been added to this
command for import / export.

Important note: While all of GeoTools commands are tested
quite extensively before they are released, it is humanely
impossible to test-run it under every different data type
or operating environment. In the event that you notice any
GeoTools command not functioning as expected, please bring
it to our notice asap. We will attend to it and fix the
problem as soon as possible.

welcome feedback at all times.
